WeGovNow: from e-Government to We-Government
This project has the objective to augment existing ICT-mediated services in the public domain (in particular e-Government solutions which give citizens a voice in the design and delivery of public services) with a new type of digital civic engagement infrastructure.
The project will generate a citizen engagement platform which will be validated and evaluated from multi stakeholder perspective.
Funka’s role in the project is to ensure as accessible and usable interfaces as possible, says José Angel Martínez Usero, Responsible for International Affairs at Funka. We will do end user testing, audits, conceptual design and focus groups.
By integrating a set of innovative technologies within a unified citizen engagement platform, the project will enable a new type of interactivity. The goal is to enhance and expand the viability of and capacity for citizen coproduction in the public sector. This way, citizens can assist one another, with IT replacing the dependency on administrations as a vehicle for collective action.
