Workshop on accessibility feedback – have your say!

End users with disabilities are best placed to give feedback on accessibility. But they do not always know how: how to explain the barriers, what channel to use, where to send the feedback.

The UPowerWAD project created a model curriculum to teach users how to provide web accessibility feedback to public sector when they face a barrier.

Wednesday the 28th of June, you are invited to join our workshop where we present the curriculum and where you can help us validating it by sharing your views and opinion on it.

According to the Web Accessibility Directive, all users have the right to get digital information and use digital services on public sector websites and mobile apps. If something is not accessible, users are entitled to provide feedback. Even though the public sector body is always responsible for making the digital services accessible, but receiving end user feedback can be very helpful!

When website owners understand a user need and fix an issue, this benefits all users. The feedback is of course more effective, if the user knows how to explain the barriers in a constructive way. This is the idea behind the EU-funded UPower project: to empower end users to execute their rights when it comes to web accessibility.
