Accessible communication professional profiles
In order to establish a link between the training on accessible communication and the existing demand for this type of roles in the labour market, professional profiles have been investigated in the project.
Based on these profiles, personas were created, highlighting job roles that accessible communication specialists could have in the future job market.
Personas create realistic representations of the key audience segments that you wish to feature for a given reason. They are stories which draw on a narrative to define a specific scenario. In the ADORE project, the concept of personas has been used to represent the multiple different professional career profiles that students studying accessible communication programmes can enter into.
The personas can be used together with the accessibility toolkit to show university teachers and training staff (and subsequently students) what they can do with the new knowledge they have acquired and how it can be put to best use. The personas can also be used by organisations representing the rights of groups such as people with disabilities, older adults and immigrants.
