Recommendations

The aim of the ADORE project was to include accessibility in the curricula of higher education communication programmes. To facilitate this, recommendations on how to get started in implementing the training materials within the university programmes have been developed.

The recommendations cover aspects such as: how to include accessibility in curriculum development, how to assess and strengthen the capacity for delivering the courses, synergies with specific communication programmes and key accessibility elements to be considered according to each course subject.

This result is a hands-on guide for higher education institutions to start mainstreaming accessibility training in communication education, even for members of the teaching and training staff with little or no previous experience in the subject.
