Methodological toolkit
This output provides a methodological toolkit for the creation of user expertise. The project team has worked closely with persons with disabilities, public sector bodies and Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers to tackle questions such as:
- How do you identify lived experiences that are suitable for conversion into discrete areas of expertise?
- How do you carry out that process of conversion?
- How do you ensure that these areas of expertise are recognised as such by others?
The IO draws upon the user expertise best practices identified in the early stages of the project and has been further developed in collaborations with stakeholders. The outcome is a methodological toolkit for user expertise that can be used by DPOs and VET providers alike when developing initiatives to highlight, promote and strengthen the competencies of persons with disabilities.
