Funka welcomes Italian talent
Funka, as partner in the EU project Risewise, will be receiving European researchers carrying out research in wide range of disability related areas. The first research visit (secondment) is Simone Marcutti, PhD student at Genoa University and ICT entrepreneur.
We are happy to be part of this Marie Curie initiative that allows Funka staff to be in contact with many European researchers, says Jose Usero, responsible for international affairs at Funka.
The first research visit is Simone Marcutti, who combines his work as entrepreneur/owner of the company SimarLab with a PhD course on Digital Humanities at Universita degli Studi di Genova. Most of the projects in his company and his research are focused in user centred design to make intuitive and efficient products.
The opportunity to visit Funka is a great occasion to acquire new knowledge, says Simone. We have many common interests in web development, app development, interaction design, etc.
Simone’s main research areas are interaction design, natural user interface, internet of things and virtual reality. There will be many opportunities for mutual learning during his visit and he is warmly welcome!
