Interactive workshop for public sector web authors, 1st June 2021

What if authoring tools could provide automatic accessibility by default so that you don’t need to think about it, such as suggesting an ALT-text? What if the tools could support you to easily do the right thing? Wouldn’t that be great?

Interactive workshop for public sector web authors

Webinar: Interactive workshop for public sector web authors, on Youtube, opens in new window

Many content creators in the public sector are not trained in accessibility. Some only publish online every now and then, which makes it hard to remember all the details needed to get it right. At the same time, web authors have a lot of impact on the accessibility of the websites. There are at least 20 million public sector web authors in the EU. Let’s support them, to make the web more inclusive!

In this workshop, we invite you to learn more about the results of two groundbreaking EU-funded research projects, which are going to help you and your fellow web authors create accessible content in a much easier way:

  • FEAT project: where we have developed fully accessible templates for Optimizely (formerly called Episerver) that can also be used in other template-based authoring environments.
  • CLUSTER project: where we have developed accessibility features that are currently being implemented in market leading authoring tools.
If you want to know more about how to support web authors in making accessible content and make use of the project results, please join us for this workshop!
