Engagement towards Active and Healthy Ageing - recent developments presented in Italy
As part of Funka’s assignment supporting the European stakeholder groups and partners engaged in the field of active and healthy ageing, we are often invited to present at conferences and seminars.
In its role of project coordinator, Funka has been mandated by the European Commission to broadly disseminate the vision and strategy of the European partnership EIP on AHA for the period 2018-2020 and further improve the involvement of members in the Partnership.
It is a strong mandate given to Funka by the EC, and lately I have had the opportunity to illustrate our engagement in a national workshop organised by the Italian Regions and in the International Conference promoted as a side event of the G7 Health Ministerial Summit, says Roberto Zuffada, Project Manager for European Projects.
The Italian Regions workshop in Rome, October 27th, focused on the role of the demand side and the capacity of the territories to invest for upscaling innovative solutions in the digital transformation of health and care.
Opened by the Italian Ministry of Health, the G7 side event in Milan, November 4th, gathered decision and policy makers, researchers and representatives of international organisations – European Commission, WHO, European Brain Council – who have addressed the role of research & innovation as key enablers to reframe the challenges of a healthy ageing.
