RSCN and WE4AHA at A3 AG Face2Face meeting in Verona
More than 50 partners from all over Europe contributed to the discussion about physical and cognitive decline, frailty and nutrition for ageing well at the Action Group A3 Face2Face meeting, that took place on 11-12 July in Verona (Italy).
The meeting targeted the most recent developments and achievements of the A3 members and devoted attention on how to link A3 good practices with the needs expressed by the Reference Sites. The renewal of the Action Plan for the period 2018-2020 was also highlighted as one of the main priorities for the AG in the forthcoming months. Jean Bousquet, co-Chair of RSCN with Maddalena Illario, highlighted the need for the EIP on AHA to overcome the current fragmentation of the activities. An opportunity to cluster is provided by the revision of A3 Action Plan, strengthening the alignment with the Blueprint. Then he provided an overview of the RSCN organization, functioning and activities informing that new elections for Ex Board will be held in 2019. Roberto Zuffada provided an overview of what the WE4AHA CSA has been carrying out to support the EIP on AHA new cycle during the timeframe 2017-2020. It is very important - said Zuffada - to share with the partners which are the opportunities for the future of the EIP on AHA, that will depend upon the achievements of the partners. We are currently in the prioritization phase and revision of our plans, that will be followed by full implementation and scale-up efforts. Twinning activities have been planned, as an environment to exchange experiences and scale up good practices between Reference Sites.
